Debut: RS V, 2008, Celtic Manor
Caps: 17
Best Finish: 2nd 2018 & 2021
Jim first played at the Rim Stinger in 2008 at Celtic Manor and has been present at every tournament since. His results started well, picking up the highest average score at Carlyon Bay (which, of course, wins you nothing at all) and have been tailing off ever since, although he was in with a great shout in 2013 trailing by just one point going into the second 18 holes. He buckled under the weight of expectation and desire to get some letters and numbers behind his name. Jim once made the fatal error of riling the CHC by suggesting that his handicap should be adjusted upwards as a consequence of the arrival of a child in his life. Unfortunately for him, the CHC's strict policy on this is to deny players any latitude in this area - the early mornings are (apparently) an opportunity to hone one's mental game and the Rim Stinger itself should represent a welcome break from attending to fatherly duties.
