Debut: RS VII, 2010, Breadsall Priory
Caps: 3
Best Finish: 3rd, 2011
Cunning. A poor Rim Stinger in his first year masked some decent results in the pairs and the money competition either side of that, and he slipped below the Handicapper's radar for 2011 and managed to kick off the weekend with a handicap of a scarcely believable 25. He duly won the pairs competition with Andy Henderson and saw his handicap reduced to a still weighty 22, enabling him to finish 3rd in the Rim Stinger itself and to go home with the money as well. No one has had such a good year as that, although Jose came close in 2010 when he also won the pairs and the money and was 4th in the Rim Stinger.
He was unable to back it up in 2012 finishing barely above the bag o'shite, although he was suffering a form of post-traumatic stress after awakening in the middle of the night before the tournament, finding himself a) outside his hotel room, b) naked and c) without a key. The last knockings of a wedding party downstairs were treated to the champagne moment of 2012 as Neil negotiated his way to reception and managed to obtain a replacement key to his room. He did well to get any points the next day really.
