Debut: RS VI, 2009, Carlyon Bay
Caps: 8
Best Finish: Winner 2015 & 2016
Ouch. It hurts even to write it. Three caps, three runner up spots. Runner up is a terrible place to finish, not just because you are so near and yet so far (and your mental game gets called into question) but being right up there means your handicap is likely to suffer without the benefit of having actually won. How to break out of this? Vince could do worse than take a leaf out of Richard Aylmer's book who had to go through the mental anguish of being three times a bridesmaid before finally taking his opportunity in 2010.
In the meantime, we need to address the subject of Vince's attire. In his first appearance, Vince had some pretty special gear, causing the odd sideways glance and wince, but this was nothing compared to what he had delivered (under police escort) to Breadsall Priory in 2010. Pity Chris Ellerker, who was banking on a Rim Stinger fashion award for that year and was blown out of the water. In 2011, however, Vince surpassed even his own expectations, playing in what can only be described as a clown's outfit.
