RLD's first Rim Stinger was in 2009 at Carlyon Bay. With a tendency to start the weekend in Bag o'Shite form and finish it in Wagenhofer form, the handicapper is always wary of RLD. To date, however, the Rim Stinger itself has always come a little early in the weekend for Rob and he has therefore focused on trying to keep up with the fashion statements that are Vince Holmes and Chris Ellerker - a difficult task, but perhaps one that only RLD can hope to achieve. In 2009, in conjunction with the OCC and Richie Jones, RLD became the inaugural (and only, so far) Rim Stinger Water Bounce Ball Champions with a sterling defensive display and an accuracy with the ball that he could only dream about replicating out on the golf course.
